In Greek mythology, Apollo was the God of light or sun. That is a fitting name for Roll of the Dice, or Dice as I know him. He was always a very happy horse. Happy to be alive, happy to please and always brought a great positive energy to the stable.

I was training at the time, and bought him in Florida on behalf of Orange Blossom Stable. I loved him the first time that I laid eyes on him. I watched replays of his races, and had to have him. I remember, that he has a high set of withers and conventional saddles would not fit him correctly and he loved to eat to keep that big barrel of his full. In the stable he handled everything like a professional and was great to have around young horses as he had a calming effect on them.
He won an allowance race for me on the grass very easily with Patrick Husbands as the jockey. I was over the moon the other day when I saw the pictures of him, looking both healthy and happy. Kudos to both Longrun and to you Deborah! I am glad that Appolo is  continuing to bring light into others lives as he did into mine.
