Bridget Bimm began working for The HBPA of Ontario in the capacity of Executive Assistant in 2009 after leaving her position as Executive Director of the Jockey Club of Canada, a position she held for 12 years. In her capacity as Executive Director for The Jockey Club of Canada she organized the annual Sovereign Awards which celebrates outstanding achievement in Canadian Thoroughbred racing and breeding, administered the Canadian Graded Stakes program, maintained the registration field office for the Jockey Club in Kentucky and promoted thoroughbred race horse ownership whenever possible. At the 35th Annual Sovereign Awards celebrated recently in Toronto, Bridget received a Special Sovereign Award from the Board of the Directors of the Jockey Club of Canada in recognition of her years of service to organization. She was deeply honoured to have received such a prestigious award. Bridget also sits on the Planning Committee of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame where she assists with their annual awards dinner, fundraising, newsletter and website development.
